About Us
Bell M Farms is located in central Saskatchewan 90 miles east of Saskatoon or 120 miles north of Regina. Shorthorns have been raised on a commercial basis since the Moellenbeck’s moved onto this farm in the early 60’s. Through the involvement of their sons in 4-H in the mid 70’s, the first purebred heifers were purchased and the herd has blossomed since then. At the present time we are breeding 175 purebred females and 25 commercial Shorthorn females. Our cattle are raised with the approach that they work for us - rather than us working for them. Our cattle must be able to survive in a harsh climate (-40 C or +35 C ), and do so on a minimal amount of feed. We hold an annual bull sale, along with Saskvalley Shorthorns and Muridale Shorthorns, on the first Thursday of April at Saskatoon Livestock Sales.
